Stockholm-based climate tech firm, Cemvision, has successfully secured €10 million in funding to bolster its initiatives. The investment round witnessed notable contributions from Polar Structure, BackingMinds, and Zacua Ventures, underscoring growing interest in sustainable solutions.
Cemvision, under the stewardship of CEO Oscar Hållén, specializes in providing eco-friendly alternatives to conventional Portland cement. Their products not only curtail CO2 emissions but also promise durability and performance akin to traditional counterparts. The company achieves this feat by utilizing raw materials sourced from industrial waste and employing kilns powered by renewable energy, operating at lower temperatures.
This significant funding injection arrives on the heels of Cemvision’s recent milestone—the announcement of its inaugural customer contract. The influx of capital is poised to fuel the company’s immediate operational expansion, further cementing its position as an industry trailblazer in sustainable construction materials.
