Cycloid, a platform engineering software provider, has raised €5 million in a Series A funding round. The investment, led by Reflexion Capital alongside five French angel investors, brings the company’s total funding to €8 million.
The company offers an engineering platform designed to improve software delivery through platform engineering principles. Its self-service portal enables teams to interact with infrastructure and automation without requiring deep technical expertise. The platform allows organizations to define service catalogs, roles, and permissions, facilitating more efficient project deployment and management.
Platform engineering focuses on developing and maintaining internal developer platforms (IDPs) to streamline software development and deployment. These platforms enable developer self-service, reduce operational overhead, and ensure adherence to security, compliance, and best practices.
With the latest funding, Cycloid plans to strengthen its presence in Europe and expand operations into North America.
Founder Benjamin Brial highlighted the challenges associated with building and maintaining self-service IT portals.
“Centralizing access to applications, automation, deployment, documentation, cloud security, FinOps, and GreenOps is complex and resource-intensive,” Brial explained. “Our platform enables organizations to deploy a functional portal within weeks, making infrastructure and automation more accessible without requiring DevOps or cloud expertise.”
Brial emphasized that the funding validates Cycloid’s approach to platform engineering and supports its mission of enabling more efficient and sustainable cloud and DevOps practices.
