EPACK Prefab, a provider of pre-engineered building (PEB) solutions, modular structures, and insulation products, has raised $20 million in its inaugural funding round from GEF Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on sustainability-driven investments.
The funding will support EPACK Prefab’s efforts to advance sustainable practices in modular construction. The company’s technologies are designed to lower carbon emissions through improved design efficiency, minimal material wastage, and the use of recyclable materials, offering a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional construction methods.
EPACK Prefab plans to utilize the funds to enhance its manufacturing infrastructure across its facilities in Greater Noida, Ghiloth (Rajasthan), and Mambattu (Andhra Pradesh). Together, these facilities have an annual production capacity exceeding 133,924 metric tonnes. The investment will enable the company to expand its production capabilities, accelerate the development of new products, and strengthen its presence across the Indian market.
A portion of the funding will be directed toward advancing research and development initiatives aimed at energy-efficient and sustainable prefabricated construction technologies. These initiatives align with the company’s goal of driving innovation in the modular construction industry.
“This funding strengthens our resolve to revolutionize construction practices by delivering innovative, sustainable, and rapid building solutions,” said Sanjay Singhania, Managing Director of EPACK Prefab. “This milestone energizes us to set new benchmarks for the industry.”
Nikhel Bothra, Executive Director of EPACK Prefab, added, “This funding empowers us to invest further in cutting-edge technologies and expand our footprint while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability.”
Krishnan Ganesan, Managing Director at GEF Capital Partners, highlighted the role of modular construction technologies in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing climate resilience within the construction sector.
EPACK Prefab has demonstrated its capabilities by constructing India’s fastest building in just 150 hours, underscoring the potential of prefabricated construction. The company aims to strengthen its market presence domestically and explore opportunities in international markets.
