Greg Hegarty assumes the role of co-chief executive officer at PPHE Hotel Group with immediate effect, bringing nearly three decades of hospitality expertise to the position. Having been part of PPHE for 18 years, Hegarty has served in various capacities, including chief operating officer and deputy chief executive officer. His journey within the group saw him appointed as an executive director in May 2023 and subsequently welcomed to the board.
Before joining PPHE, Hegarty held key management roles at Clermont Hotel Group and RBH Hospitality Management. In his new capacity, Hegarty will collaborate closely with Boris Ivesha, the president and chief executive of PPHE, who will continue overseeing development opportunities for the group.
Hegarty expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am delighted to have been appointed as co-chief executive and look forward to continuing to lead the group in its long-term strategic objectives.” PPHE is currently in a phase of substantial growth, expanding its footprint with Park Plaza hotels and completing significant projects in capital cities such as London, Belgrade, Berlin, and Rome, across various market segments and brands, including art’otel and Radisson Red.
Ivesha welcomed the appointment, highlighting its alignment with the company’s focus on internal talent promotion. He emphasized Hegarty’s invaluable contribution to the company’s success over the past decade and expressed anticipation for continued collaboration in his new role.
