Guesty, a property management software platform based in NYC and focused on the short-term rental and hospitality industry, has acquired Rentals United, a cloud platform provider based in Barcelona, Spain, specializing in distributing and promoting properties across multiple listing sites. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
This strategic move merges two prominent players in the short-term rental (STR) space, paving the way for a unified offering that opens up fresh revenue avenues for property managers. Despite the acquisition, Rentals United will maintain its autonomy and continue operating as an independent entity, with its current executive team overseeing its operations and development. Customers and partners of Rentals United can expect business to proceed without interruption.
Founded in 2015 and under the leadership of CEO James Burrows, Rentals United empowers vacation rental managers by facilitating property marketing and management across more than 60 listing sites. Its robust channel manager integrates seamlessly with over 100 technology providers, offering cutting-edge tools for optimizing channel performance. Noteworthy among these tools is an AI-driven data platform for analyzing property performance and providing tailored recommendations. With offices in Spain and Poland, the company boasts a workforce of 100 dedicated professionals.
Guesty, helmed by CEO & Co-Founder Amiad Soto, offers a comprehensive platform for short-term rental businesses to streamline and enhance their operations. Serving a spectrum of property managers ranging from enterprises to SMBs and individual hosts, Guesty’s Property Management System (PMS) is a full-stack solution equipped with all the essential tools for managing the entire rental process. With seamless integration across property management functions, Guesty’s software enables property managers to effectively advertise and manage their vacation or short-term rental properties, elevating guest experiences through user-friendly interfaces and open API capabilities.
