Estie, a proptech company based in Japan, has raised ¥2.8 billion (approximately $20 million) in a Series B funding round. The company plans to use the funds to expand its presence in Southeast Asia, starting with Singapore.
The funding round was led by Vertex Growth, a venture capital firm affiliated with Temasek, and included participation from the Development Bank of Japan. Other investors included Globis Capital Partners, University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners, and Global Brain.
Founded in 2018, Estie operates within Japan’s commercial real estate sector, which is among the largest in the world, particularly in Tokyo. The company aims to capitalize on the increasing demand for digital transformation in this sector.
By extending its reach to Southeast Asia, Estie seeks to leverage its expertise in commercial real estate technology to tap into new opportunities in the region.
