US-based tech-enabled accommodation brand, Mint House, has appointed Judy Turchin, the former Chief Operating Officer at Equinox, as an independent director on its executive board.
Turchin brings over twenty years of real estate and operational expertise to her new role at Mint House, having previously served in key positions at Equinox and Blackstone Real Estate.
Mint House’s board of directors comprises seven members spanning hospitality, real estate, operations, and investment sectors. Turchin joins distinguished figures such as the former CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the former president of Euro Disney, and investors from Revolution and Ingleside.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the appointment, Turchin stated, “I’ve always been attracted to companies prioritizing customer experience, and Mint House excels in this aspect with its apartment-style amenities and connected workspaces. I’m eager to collaborate with the Mint House team as we reshape the travel experience in this new era.”
Christian Lee, Mint House’s CEO appointed in March, remarked, “Judy’s dedication to driving value and positive impact aligns seamlessly with our mission to surpass industry standards and redefine hospitality. Her role alongside our team and board members will be pivotal in steering Mint House towards dynamic and sustained growth.”
Established in 2017, Mint House operates properties across the United States, offering both long- and short-term stays, catering to guests for days, weeks, or months. In May 2022, the aparthotel brand secured $35 million in a Series B financing round through a partnership with Mohari Hospitality, aiming to disrupt the US extended stay sector.
