Motif Systems, a San Francisco-based building design platform provider, has raised $46 million across its Seed and Series A funding rounds.
CapitalG led the Series A round, while the previously undisclosed Seed round was led by Redpoint Ventures. Baukunst, a pre-seed venture firm, participated in both rounds.
The company plans to use the capital to scale its operations and enhance product development.
Founded in 2023, Motif Systems aims to modernize the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry by integrating 3D technology, cloud-based platforms, and artificial intelligence. The platform is designed to streamline collaboration and improve efficiency in building design, focusing on sustainability and innovation.
The company was co-founded by CEO Amar Hanspal, former Co-CEO and CPO of Autodesk and founder of Bright Machines, alongside CTO Brian Matthews, former VP of platform engineering at Autodesk and Bright Machines. The founding team also includes Matt Jezyk, formerly of Autodesk, Tesla, and Rivian, and Lira Nikolovska, who has held roles at Phillips Design, Autodesk, and Bright Machines.
