Plaace, a rapidly expanding Norwegian proptech firm, has successfully concluded an investment round of €885k, led by RunwayFBU as the primary investor. This funding, complemented by strategic guidance, is earmarked for the realization of the company’s ambitious plans for widespread commercial expansion throughout the Nordic region. The investment consortium comprises RunwayFBU as the main investor, alongside existing backers OBOS and Blommenholm Industrier, along with an additional €177k in support from Innovation Norway.
Snorre Jordheim Myhre, CEO and co-founder of Plaace, expressed, “This signifies confidence in the efforts we put forth in 2023 and the resultant achievements. With this capital injection, Plaace is better positioned for ongoing commercial scaling, ensuring sustained delivery of value to customers across the Nordic region.”
Hanna Selvaag Wangsmo, Investment Manager at RunwayFBU, noted, “Plaace provides decision support in a user-friendly manner to a less digitized industry, aligning well with our investment strategy. Leveraging data to enhance processes and structures, the team exhibits exceptional execution capabilities, with significant international potential.”
In 2023, Plaace achieved substantial growth, tripling its revenue. The company solidified its market presence, securing contracts with 50 paying customers, including major players like KLP Eiendom, Elkjøp, Norli, and Europris. The commercial team has expanded to six members across sales, marketing, and Customer Success. Founded in 2020, Plaace anticipates heightened activity in 2024, engaging with select Nordic players.
Amidst significant changes in the retail industry, emphasizing data-driven approaches, Plaace anticipates a surge in interest and demand for its services. The company is strategically positioned to adapt to the evolving needs of the industry.
