Belgian logistics software company, Peripass, has announced securing €7.5 million in funding to bolster its global expansion efforts. The funding, led by Welvaartfonds and building upon previous investments from the Van Overstraeten Group, will fuel Peripass’s mission to revolutionize yard management processes across logistics sites worldwide.
Peripass addresses the pressing need for digital transformation in the logistics industry amidst a labor shortage. While manufacturing floors have seen optimization, yard management often remains overlooked. By digitally streamlining trailer movements, Peripass has successfully reduced driver waiting times by up to 70 percent, leading to enhanced efficiency, comfort, and substantial reductions in CO2 emissions and accidents.
Despite its proven benefits, only a fraction of the market currently utilizes automation platforms for logistics operations. Peripass aims to bridge this gap by equipping 1,000 sites with its yard management software by 2030, benefiting over 150,000 truck drivers globally.
Leander Naessens, CEO of Peripass, emphasized the company’s commitment to its customers’ needs across various continents. With operations spanning 13 countries, Peripass is poised for further expansion, fueled by the recent funding.
The capital infusion will enable Peripass to bolster its global partner network and strengthen commercial teams in key markets such as France, the UK, and Germany. Additionally, investments will continue in simplifying tasks for truck drivers and logistics staff through self-service technology, enhancing communication and efficiency.
