Predium, a company specializing in ESG management solutions for the real estate and finance sectors, has raised €13 million in a Series A funding round. This investment aims to support its mission to promote sustainable and efficient property management practices.
Investment Details
The funding round was led by Norrsken VC, a venture capital firm associated with Klarna co-founder Niklas Adalberth’s Norrsken Foundation. Existing investors UVC Partners, b2venture, and Mutschler Ventures also increased their commitments to Predium.
Challenges in the Real Estate Sector
The real estate industry is navigating significant regulatory and economic shifts. The EU’s goal for a climate-neutral building sector by 2050, alongside rising interest rates, has created new pressures on property valuations. Stakeholders such as investors, banks, and property owners are seeking greater transparency regarding sustainable and economic performance. Buildings that do not meet ESG standards face declining values, making proactive management crucial.
Predium’s Solution
Predium’s platform leverages existing data sources, including energy performance certificates and invoices, while enriching missing information with AI, satellite imagery, and 3D models. This approach provides users with essential ESG metrics, risk assessments, and financial indicators, enabling informed decisions about acquisitions, renovations, and sales.
Clients, including Deutsche Investment Group, Colliers, and Baloise, use Predium to identify ESG risks and prioritize renovations based on costs, savings, and subsidies. The platform’s features cater to portfolio owners, banks, insurance companies, and housing organizations, enhancing their ability to manage assets sustainably and profitably.
Future Plans
The newly secured funding will facilitate the development of Predium’s software platform and support its expansion into new markets.
