Trunk Tools, a New York-based company specializing in AI-driven solutions for the construction industry, has raised $20 million in Series A funding. The investment round was led by Redpoint Ventures, with additional support from Innovation Endeavors.
The newly acquired funds will be directed toward scaling the company’s operations and enhancing its development initiatives.
Under the leadership of CEO and Founder Sarah Buchner, Trunk Tools utilizes AI technology to streamline construction processes by organizing vast amounts of unstructured project data. The platform’s AI agents assist construction professionals by automating administrative tasks, thereby improving industry productivity and profitability.
In conjunction with this funding announcement, Trunk Tools is launching the Trunk Tools Schedule Agent, an autonomous AI-powered tool designed specifically for the construction sector. This agent creates a seamless connection between scheduled tasks and the necessary documentation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The Schedule Agent builds upon Trunk Tools’ existing AI platform, which is already employed by major general contractors and several Fortune 500 companies to enhance job site efficiency by proactively identifying and addressing potential project issues.
The agent integrates directly with scheduling files, independently monitoring upcoming tasks and providing timely alerts to project managers, superintendents, and engineers about any open tasks, discrepancies, or logistical challenges.
