Podium, a property technology (proptech) platform, has raised S$20.4 million (US$15.1 million) in a Series A-1 funding round, the company announced on Thursday. The round was led by software firm Autodesk, with participation from elevator manufacturer Schindler and real estate group Lendlease.
The capital will support Podium’s expansion in key markets, including Singapore and Australia. The platform aims to foster collaboration between property developers, design consultants, suppliers, and government entities.
Podium’s technology addresses inefficiencies in the built environment, such as low productivity, high material waste, and rising costs, while promoting sustainable building practices.
Initially developed by Lendlease in 2020, Podium transitioned into an independent technology startup in September 2024. The platform utilizes automation to generate detailed building models based on variables such as project costs, unit numbers for residential buildings, and specific requirements like floor-to-ceiling heights for industrial spaces.
Additionally, suppliers can upload technical specifications and product catalogs to enable designers to incorporate materials and prefabricated components seamlessly into building plans.
In a trial project, Podium’s software produced architectural and structural schematics for a ramp-up industrial building within minutes—a process that traditionally requires weeks.
